Mrs. Claus originally had a much more youthful, elven face. It was the wrong look for her, of course, so I gave her a different nose and distinguishing glasses. But the basics of her original design live on in this Platecraft Elf. :)

About four years ago I build a bright red fridge with retro styling. Always meant to go back and build a matching range, and I finally got the chance to do so. And I decided to rebuild the fridge from the ground up, too!

Here’s the final Star Wars sculpture I did for LEGO in 2015, appropriately titled AT-ST on Endor. As you can guess, the legs shuffle back and forth when you turn the crank. The mechanism in both the AT-AT and the AT-ST models is deceptively simple – the legs are pushed outward and return to position through the magic of gravity.

Note: In 2017, builder Carl Greatrix tackled the same concept, motorized, at a much larger scale. The walking motion in his model is phenomenal - check out his work in progress at www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/

My Modular Arcade series returns in May! This second generation features three all-new arcade machine designs (two pictured here), an all-new sit-down arcade racer, and new/improved wall and stairs units. As with previous Modular Arcade units, you can snap them together any way you like to create your own unique arcade.

Although I started tweaking my original two-door fridge design, eventually I decided I wanted something different; something even more retro. Going to a single-door design let me migrate to a much more functional hinge system; this in turn led to retro design elements like the integrated ice box and the "chin" at the bottom of the fridge.
The single door design also let me expand the the sizes of the shelves, both in the main cavity and on the inside of the door. And most of the food items in the fridge are brick-built, too!

My first new ornament for 2018 is an order of fries! Unusual, yes, but not completely random: it's designed to complement the equally ridiculous burger ornament I created two years ago. :sweat_smile:
