Dua Lipa 'Funmaxxes' in Head-To-Toe Lace

@dualipa

Dua Lipa’s just discovered the term “funmaxxing”—but it’s obvious the star’s been doing it for quite some time. With a maximalist fashion streak that’s packed with sultry and archival pieces, Lipa has clearly resonated with the term when she defined it in a recent Instagram caption. “Funmaxxing is an internet slang term describing the practice of intentionally maximizing enjoyment,” she wrote. The accompanying full lace ensemble featured in the post certainly fit the bill.

While posing with a margarita, Lipa enjoyed golden hour in a plunging black lace minidress. The swirling piece featured a floral pattern and flared sleeves for a romantic, bohemian flair. To further elevate her sultry number, the singer laced into a pair of Christian Louboutin’s sheer black KM Lace Botta boots for a monochrome cutout finish. Her look was completed with a glittering Bulgari diamond necklace and rings, plus—in true Lipa fashion—a shoulder bag covered in a golden leopard print.

However, this wasn’t Lipa’s only funmaxxing moment while enjoying the early days of summer. The star also snapped photos with pals, including Simon Porte Jacquemus, as she sparkled in a white lace miniskirt, sequin-fringed halter bralette, and linear diamond earrings.

Rounding out her funcentric range, Lipa snapped nighttime photos in a gauzy, belted black minidress and boxy leather boots. Large gold hoop earrings, a gleaming Bulgari Serpenti bangle, diamond rings, and Chloé necklaces accented with sunflower, seashell, and beaded charms brought her ensemble a free-spirited touch. As a Chanel ambassador under Matthieu Blazy, she also carried a sunny yellow latticework version of the French brand’s flap bag—which just walked the label’s Cruise 2027 show in Biarritz.

From full lace to breezy boho vibes, Lipa certainly aced a funmaxxing trend with flying colors. Indeed, with a repertoire including a flaming hot Chanel skirt suit, Chloé’s swan-shaped purse, and fluffy “mob wife” shearling, were you surprised? Call it fashionably radical optimism.

Rosalía Proves a Classic Red Dress Always Packs a Punch

Europa Press Entertainment/Europa Press/Getty Images

We have no idea if Rosalía was trying to channel the iconic “red dress dancing woman” emoji while out in Seville, Spain today. Rosalía does dance, and she was wearing a red dress. Though, a closer look at the outfit reveals her own personal style was very much in tact and not outsourced to emoji cosplay.

The singer opted to wear a simple red dress while strolling through the street of Seville. Her sweet, sleeveless number featured a low-cut neckline with a squared silhouette, as well as a fluttering hem that hit just below the knee. Complete with windswept curls, it was a simple and effortlessly simple look that still packed a punch. No wonder fans gathered to cheer her on in the street.

Musically, she’s known for mixing classical influence with edgier sounds. Her outfit followed a similar formula. Her Mary Jane-style footwear included four thin upper straps, embellished with small silver buckles, studs, and pointed spikes. The pair gave her otherwise sweet look—which also included a confectionary, pale pink Dior Book tote by Jonathan Anderson—a sharp edge, affirming her signature penchant for edgy dressing.

With her latest off-duty look, Rosalía proved she can master simple dressing in addition to avant-garde fashion. However, with her signature punky attitude, the singer’s sure to bring her own spin to any look—no matter how basic it may be.

Dua Lipa’s Scandi Girl Look Is So 2014-Coded

@dualipa

You didn’t think Dua Lipa would leave the fashion at home during vacation, did you? The singer shared a glimpse into her and fiancé Callum Turner’s latest stop in Copenhagen, which included casual stripes and denim. However, the singer proved her prowess at elevating even the simplest pieces from her edgy, eclectic sensibility—and revived two nostalgic 2014 fashion trends in the process.

During her and Turner’s travels, Lipa posed for Instagram photos in a long-sleeved, sailor-striped Ann Demeulemeester shirt. The black and white piece was tucked into a pair of blue denim jorts with distressed hems, though it could also be cinched from long black side ties. Her look’s otherwise simple pieces were instantly nostalgic, simultaneously channeling the edgy style of 2014 from its sailor stripes and ripped denim. Both trends dominated the mid-2010’s from their specific aesthetics and grungy feel, as seen on fashion-focused stars like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Cara Delevingne at the time.

Lipa’s 2014-coded outfit earned her signature whimsy from a wide-ranging mix of current trending accessories. The singer boosted her attire’s prints with a large, slouchy brown suede Phoebe Philo tote, complete with a dark brown striped pattern. A Western belt with thick silver hardware—a top spring style also seen at Coachella and Stagecoach—cinched her look with a dash of heavy metals. The musician’s ensemble was finished with smooth black heeled thong sandals, hailing from Demna’s first Gucci show, which embraced the sweeping nostalgia for similar 2000’s pieces today.

Lipa finished her outfit with glossy maroon sunglasses from Jacques Marie Mage, as well as a smattering of gleaming Bulgari rings. The finishing touches brought a punky feel to her look, utilizing subtle details to elevate its otherwise simple pieces.

However, Lipa’s trip abroad wasn’t solely a street style romp. While in Copenhagen with Turner, the star also shared snapshots of lush gardens, oysters, and lunch at Pompette—plus, per her caption, plenty of wine. The pair also enjoyed various art exhibitions on their travels, including pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Sophie Calle’s On the Hunt exhibit.

Even when you’ve honed your fashion sense, there’s always room for a nostalgic reference. After Lipa’s past nods to ‘70s, ‘90s, and 2000’s style, it’s clear the 2010’s have successfully made it into the mix.

Emily Ratajkowski Masterfully Mixes Three Trends At Once

Nobody’s street style looks are as varied as those of Emily Ratajkowski, whose grungy, eclectic off-duty outfits are as dynamic as her red carpet appearances. Her latest ensemble cemented that keen eye for pieces with punch while mixing not one, not two, but three trend movements at once.

While on the book tour for close friend Lena Dunham’s new memoir, Famesick, Ratajkowski stepped out in Philadelphia in a leopard-print coat. The button-up piece, which she’s worn on multiple occasions, featured a collared silhouette with a pony-hair texture. While nodding to the nonchalance of ’90s dressing, the style also brought a burst of pattern to her black silk slipdress and simple brown leather shoulder bag, two more hallmark styles of the decade.

The ’90s weren’t the only fashion trend at play in Ratajkwoski’s ensemble, however. Tory Burch’s new seashell drop earrings added an eclectic touch to the model’s attire with their swirling dark amber and white pattern. Her jewelry instantly nodded to the 2020s trend of breezy coastal dressing, which featured oceanic details, woven textures, and any range of accents nodding to aquatic elements like coral, fish, and water.

A surprising twist came from Ratajkowski’s black leather Western-style boots, which featured pointed toes and curved shafts akin to traditional cowboy footwear. Though their angled high heels would likely be out of place on horseback, the style fully embraced the Western boot trend that emerged in 2022 and has only grown from 2025’s boho-fashion resurgence. Outside of the trend cycle, the shoes have become a seasonal staple across various colors and heights, from brands like Ganni, Paris Texas, Tecovas, and Gabriela Hearst as well. A pair of Courrèges sunglasses smoothly finished Ratajkowski’s outfit, providing a shield from both paparazzi and the early spring sunshine.

Trend mixing isn’t a new concept, but Ratajkowski is a master of the craft. This latest look reminds us that her It girl fashion status is an earned one, and rightfully so, with her individualistic outfits incorporating trends from “tomato girl summer” to “office siren” dressing and more over the years. With summer just around the corner, there’s plenty of eye-catching ensembles for us to look forward to from this street-style savant.
