New South Wales police have charged a man for allegedly stealing camera equipment from one of the victims of the Bondi beach terror attack in the aftermath of the shooting.
In a statement, police allege that the man had been at the Hanukah event before the shooting on 14 December, in which 15 people were killed.

Officials say sinkhole discovered at about 11am as emergency crews rush to complete repairs
A sinkhole was discovered at New York’s LaGuardia airport on Wednesday, shutting down a runway while emergency crews sought to determine its cause and how to fix it.
In a post on X, LaGuardia, which handles domestic travel, said the sinkhole had been discovered at about 11am “near runway 4/22” while the airport’s operator was conducting its daily morning inspection.

Wildfires fueled by extreme heat, drought, and strong winds have become a recurring emergency that California faces virtually every year. Now, the southern part of the state is grappling with a new wave of fires that has placed thousands of residents under evacuation orders and forced the deployment of emergency resources in several counties. The most critical fire so far is the Sandy Fire, fueled by strong winds, which continues to advance in Simi Valley, northwest of Los Angeles.

The United States issued a federal criminal indictment against Raúl Castro, Cuba’s former president, and five others on Wednesday in a significant escalation of the Trump administration’s campaign to oust the country’s six-decades-old communist regime.
The 94-year-old political figurehead was charged in Miami, Florida, with conspiracy to kill US nationals, four counts of murder and two counts of destruction of aircraft.

Above all, because the jury found Musk’s lawsuit had been filed too late. It was barred by the statute of limitations. Neither the jury nor the judge went on to assess Musk’s complaint.
