A 25-year-old man is facing multiple charges after an officer was injured while intercepting a vehicle believed to be smuggling migrants across the Canada-U.S. border in Quebec.

RCMP’s Federal Policing – Pacific Region Integrated National Security Enforcement Team announced the charges against the 47-year-old man Thursday.

Police in Ontario and B.C. dealt with water-sport fatalities over the weekend. As summer nears, officials are reminding people to take proper precautions to ensure their safety. 

Police said a Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of a four-plex on Tuesday evening while a young family was inside the home.
